    Painting wheels

If you want the longest lasting coating for alloy wheels you will want to get them blasted with a softer material, not sand,so you end up with a smooth surface not the rough one you normally see with regular sand blasting. Then find a local place that does anodizing, might cost $100 per wheel...

    Front Driveshaft Removal

Being balanced has effect on vibs if the angles are not correct from the centerline of t-case output to the centerline of the pinion.

    Front Driveshaft Removal

As long as you don't mind vibrations. The front diff and t-case are not lined up correctly for any non-CV(meaning actual CV joints, not referring to Double Cardon CV's) so you will get vibs no matter what unless you use the OEM style CV joint driveshaft.

Wheels dragging when making U turns in full-time

"Torque" is why you get binding in tight, slow turns in a KJ with the 242 t-case. When torque is applied to the differential it naturally wants both axles(or front/rear drive shafts in the t-case) at the same speed, the spider gears have alot of force being applied to them that takes a second...

    Muffler delete thought?

Any vehicle sold in the USA and model year 1996 and newer have to have at least 1 monitored cat per bank.Delete those monitored cats and the PCM will detect it and turn on the check engine light and put it into "cold" start up mode to protect the engine since it can not properly judge what's...

    Muffler delete thought?

First it's illegal, the check engine light will turn on,you will get terrible gas mileage(way worse then your getting now),and if you sell and the new owner(does not matter if you trade it in or private sale) lives in a area that requires emission testing you are 100% on the hook to make it pass...

    Bigger tires on jeep liberty

You will not find any mud tires in the stock size(most common is 235/70R16's). You would have to use 225/75R16's for any MT's. I drove off the dealer lot with half worn 245/75R16 MT/R's(old style) on my then brand new '02 KJ that was "pre-lowered" and it rubbed like crazy and that sat...

    Poor off road handling

Speed also has a huge effect as does tires, air pressure, and in 2wd or 4wd. Alignment doesn't mean jack when in mud/snow/ice. Adding a DTT up front makes a huge difference in those conditions also.

Front end knock- lower control arm? Easy fix?

Yes some movement is 100% normal. Every single member on this forum with a KJ can go outside and check and will have the same marks as you do.

    CKS Question. '02 3.7L V6

99.99999% chance it's the sensor is bad.Never seen a aftermarket crank/cam sensor last very long in a Chrysler. At work aftermarket engine sensors have a 50% failure rate right out of the box.

    Rear Driveshaft / Propshaft

OE call the local dealer, they may or may not be discontinued. Aftermarket you will need the correct measurements(all should have diagrams on how to get measurements). You can try local or pay a little more for a name brand like High Angle Driveline or Tom Woods.

New here wanted to say hello and ask a ball joint question

The axle slides in/out of the bearing(in the knuckle),the other side has a "c" clip holding it into the diff which takes some force to pull out. No seals to worry about on the knuckle side.

New here wanted to say hello and ask a ball joint question

Don't hit the end of the axle directly with a steel hammer unless you are planning on replacing said axle.Great way to mess the threads up which will force a axle replacement. Use a soft faced hammer or punch(air hammer with punch works very well). They make special pullers to force the axle...

    abs troubleshooting

Check the tone ring on the axle. Had to replace 3 JK axles in the last 2 weeks due to damaged tone rings on the rear axles, same setup as your '07 KJ.

Warn M8000 into ARB front bumper - 05 KJ

I've yet to see a alternator without being modded reach it's rated peak. Most winches will draw over 350 amps when you 1st hit that switch, load or no load and your forgetting the 40-50 amps that are needed just to keep the engine running with no load. Battery tech has come along way.Take...

Warn M8000 into ARB front bumper - 05 KJ

A high amp AGM flat panel battery works best,Odyssey makes some very good batteries for winching. Like stated already you will fry a alternator trying to run a winch just from it.Even with the engine at 3000 rpm's a Renny alt(160 amp version) will only put out 120 amps at best. Funny how all...

P1491 code - stumped what to do next.

Unless you got the updated relay from the dealership I'd suspect a bad fan relay.Common for the connector to melt some also causing this issue. The 2 speed e-fan did not appear in KJ's till late '04 models.
