Valves are not adjustable on these. So easiest way to verify sludge is to remove a cylinder head cover and do a physical check. They aren't difficult on these engines. Also what oil was put in when the oil was changed?
Sludge can be a tricky beast. If a lot is found you can approach it two or...
Did my alignment, was way out, timing consuming as always. Not perfect, but at least they are within spec and they are even. It also now drives straight. Maybe on a weekend I'll spend the time and get it even better..... maybe.......
Barring a major mechanical issue, you have a pretty decent platform that has a lot of money into it. It's worth while to put in more time. Just remember you will no re-coop what you've put in by selling this vehicle.
Pin 3 is your 5v, pin 1 is your ground and pin 2 is your FPS sensor signal. Which ones are you seeing voltage on? Also code does not show up on dealer service info or pro demand, it's best to use a wiring diagram and work backwards from the sensor to ensure wiring is good, along with ECM. Unplug...
I've had a few sets on different vehicles over the years. All around good tire. What sealed it for me was being a freezing rain storm out near Hope and a semi truck jammed on their brakes to turn into the scale. Long story short i stopped. i also wasn't one of the many cars and truck littered...
You can try and look for a new one, but you can also just find some clean metal and sandwich it between the head of the bolt and whatever surface it should be on.
Put on some new tires this morning before work. Tires on clearance and more than 50% off. A nice before and after. Need to make some adjustments, but only slight rubbing so far. Didn't have a chance to check it at lock since work calls.
I'm assuming that is transmission pan? If you have no shift issues, I would carry on driving. Only way to fix that is to tear down whatever it is that it came out of and rebuild. Nothing you can do, so keep driving, monitor for shift issues (or whatever it's from) and overhaul when you start...
Should start a new thread for your specific top. It'll get more help. I would certainly perform a back flush first. The potential savings are massive. Honestly being in repair myself no tech wants to do a heater core if they can help it. I've saved a couple (or at least prolonged the inevitable)...
245-70R17 Duratracs on clearance at Canadian tire FYI. They are clearing out the old ones for the new gen of them. Doesn't help the OP, but does help us in BC at least.
Mine came with standard cooling and I added the HD package. As it turns out my electric fan wasn't working when I got the jeep so I like having a 2 fan set up.
The HD and singal fan system both have two wires for the first couple of year. By 2005, HD and standard cooling both have 3 wire, a 2 stage fan. So wire it based on what your vehicle came equipped with. If you have a 2 wire electric fan, I would wire it to the high setting if you have a 3 wire...
