Sorry, I misunderstood - thought you wanted to insert the bolt and have 2 or 3 threads showing where it protruded out of the control arm. Makes perfect sense now. -

Here is a 3rd vote for the oil pressure sender. I would replace it rather than trying to tighten it (they are fragile and can break off). Yes, that's exactly what I did - saves a whole bunch of time and you end up with those bolts oriented the way Jeep should have done it in the first place. Don't go too short on that bolt - 3 or 4 threads doesn't sound like enough to me. Whenever I try to get a bolt "exactly" the right length it... -

I don't remember. If that bearing comes apart easily (again I don't remember) you could just hold the inner part in your left hand and die grinder in right. If it's one that stays together just go with the flow and let it spin - the die grinder will spin way faster anyway and should ensure you...- Shankster

I used a die grinder. A Dremel might work too. I'd wait till you have your LSD before diving in. Just keep taking a little off till they slip onto the LSD. Run the die grinder around and around inside the bore of the bearings.- Shankster

Oh, another biggie I just thought of - I believe it is the rear diff where the ring gear bolts are reverse (left) thread so be sure to loosen them "righty-loosey" or you'll twist the heads off. Guess how I figured that out :)- Shankster

I guess it depends on your comfort level with fairly technical mechanical work. I do all my own wrenching with no formal training so occasionally fail or learn a hard lesson. That said, I did install both diffs in my Liberty having never done it before. Won't say it was easy but I did have fun...- Shankster

I drive on snow and ice on mountain roads a fair bit and those auto lockers scare me. Slight correction. The model numbers are not exactly the same across the board, The TRE4x4 model #s are TR93 for the air locker and TE93 for the E-locker. So are the TRE4x4 from the same factory as the rest? I'm guessing they are but who knows? Those are a bit more pricey but still a lot less...- Shankster

Just to be clear, the "Spartan Helical" is not a locker, it's a mechanical type (as opposed to a clutch type) limited slip differential or LSD, often referred to as a Torsen. I also have one in my front diff and it works in both the Dana 30 and the Dana 30a. It was $259 off Amazon so very budget...- Shankster

No amount of googling M bolt or M-bolt comes up with anything similar. I also can't find a Mopar parts diagram with the tow hooks that would break down the kit into individual parts numbers.- Shankster

Ah, good info re the tow hooks. The used tow hooks I bought and installed had a different fastening system but I see them new on Ebay with the "M bolts". I won't be buying $200 tow hooks to get those bolts but gives me hope that the bolts are still being manufactured and are available new...- Shankster
