I got one to tear apart that we damaged putting the steering rack back in the 06. Bought a used one for 75 and got it installed. Just for fun, I hooked up the scan tool and read the steering angle before mounting the steering wheel. Was 358 degrees negative. Rotated properly and bolted it...
Assuming the fluid level is correct, I would be in favor of dropping the pan (yet again) and taking that filter off. Big surface area of filter svcks up fluid and is routed thru the pickup tube - maybe 1/2 inch diameter. What difference would it make with out it. The filter is on the suction...
See if any of your issues point to a common ground here.

There are a few grounds that start at the battery, and several through-out the...
Is your speedometer reading at all? Is it correct?
Do you have access to a scan tool with live data?
Kind of curious as to what the wheel speed sensors read. R & L front , rear was a single sensor on the kj’s. Maybe there is a mis-match here applying the ABS
Just for kicks - run a temporary ground from the battery negative to the engine block with a jumper cable. Since it started with a pot hole / bump symptom and multiple systems affected, grounding issue sounds likely to me.
Thanks for the JScan tip! Did not know that one. Beats dragging the KingBolen out when kj’s are carrying on. Just my opinion, i think OP is going to find the right front is the issue as that is where he had heat issues. I just burnt up my right front caliper and ABS sensor due to an...
I understand.
You have done a visual inspection with the camera.
Since your issue is intermittent the scan tool real time readings might help you find the cause.
Good luck. This one is tough!
Have you considered the possibility that the right front hub/bearing/tonering was (is) damaged from the stuck caliper event?
Hook up that scanner and get into the wheel speed sensor data - put the right and left front on to view in real time. Drive a bit and see that the right side is...
There is a lot to read here, but i wonder - you say you have cold air at startup at the vent and the freon is not low. Have you confirmed that the compressor is actually pulling in?
When the system pressures are correct, the switches allow the 12v to feed to the a/c compressor clutch. Easy...
Likely it will. That grinding is usually the cable that moves the plastic clip flailing about. Might also be the plastic tubing that guides the cable has broken.
Jumping onto what Derekj said - The oil travels thru the total AC system. The big silver can - Accumulator or receiver or drier (all the same thing) is where any excess oil will accumulate. I feel there is little chance of damaging the system with a bit of overfill on oil.
Sticky could come...
So - 06 finally out of the garage AGAIN. At last report, I managed to pop the clockspring and was on the hunt for a replacement. I found one up by Erie PA. It was used, natually and the yard had 3, so they shipped me one down. Recall that the 06/07 is a strange clockspring - 10 circuits due...
Maybe take a straight blade or exacto knife and trim the seal down ‘a little bit’ - also : Napa usually has a good assortment of connectors and such. It may be that this one swelled up too much from being exposed to oil, etc.
Maverick - you are on a jeep Liberty forum - not GC. Most of us here focus on the KJ / KK lines rather than your rig.
Might try JeepGarage.org for a better chance of a knowledgeable answer - but is does indeed sound like a blend door - either door or actuator - and a parts yard might be your...
