What can you cut out of interior without comprimising unibody?

Diamond plate is pretty but weld some steel in behind it for strength.

    KJ Cargo hook bolts

Bit less easy to steal than my rear rack, but the bikes I carry are worth about £80 in total....

What did you do to your jeep today?

Mine is the same, even with 1/4 boiler plates fitted the front is an inch lower than the rear, I'll have to make a couple of 1/2" clevis spacers to bring it up.

    Best practice for buying parts?

I try to get parts from known manufacturers, there are lots of decent quality parts, there are also lots of awful Chinese parts, I've found the wheel bearings they make last around a year so the initial low cost isn't as good as it sounds.

    Passenger side water leak

That's a good video! I'd suggest not using silicone though, I use CT1, not sure if it's available in the US but I bet an equivalent is, it's call a tribrid polymer sealant, the stuff sticks like nothing I've ever used before & doesn't age and peel like silicone. I use it for just about...

connecting rod and piston pin problems

Have you downloaded the manuals for the car? All the specifications should be in there. http://www.colorado4wheel.com/manuals/Jeep/KJ/ I don't see any issues with a thin bush being fitted to the little end of the rod.

What are my locker options currently for an 03 with SelecTrac?

They aren't very nice for on road use, if you search on here you can find lots of posts about them, they are the cheapest option but far from the best for a road car. The front end is a well known weak point on the KJ, unlike other Jeeps it's an aluminium casting with modified Dana 30 internals...

What can you cut out of interior without comprimising unibody?

Apart from a strong mount for the seat I can't see it would do anything, you just need to brace between the rails to make up for the loss of the inner braces, you're keeping the roof so that adds a lot of strength, especially if you are going to plate in the front where you cut it off.

    Need help

It might be worth trying a compression test, as I mentioned in England LPG dropped out of favour because it could cause the exhaust valves to burn out on some cars. How complex is your LPG system, is it a gas vaporizer/carburettor setup or an injection system? As the fault occurs on both...

Rusted E16 external torx bolts for wheel bearing.

Both of mine will only release the key in the off position, the only car that I could pull the key out in any position was a very high mileage Mercedes I had about 30 years ago, that was very worn. I believe it's a safety feature to prevent the barrel from slipping and applying the steering lock...

Rusted E16 external torx bolts for wheel bearing.

It shouldn't be, the key should stay in but 20 years of a heavy bunch of keys bouncing around takes its toll.

    Need help

I'd guess he is in Europe, gas conversations were popular a few years ago, not sure what its like elsewhere but LPG filling points seem to be disappearing in the UK, talking to people who had the conversations valve seat recession was an issue even with cars suitable for unleaded. A shame...

    Cracked cylinder head

I would say that engine is totally shot, it will have wiped the crank if its lost enough oil to have done that to the top end. Find a scrapyard engine and start again or if you want a fresh engine the guys on here really rate Jasper.

Don't lunchbox the front it will blow it to bits! The alloy housing isn't very strong.
