I'd like one but I often carry my dogs in the back so I haven't bothered

What did you do to your jeep today?

Gave my ac a squirt of gas, stopped it short cycling. Back to lovely cool air.

Valvoline Daily Protection Gear Oil / API Service GL-5?

Both specs are correct, heavier oil gives slightly more protection. The older manual *(2003!) Gives both options.

    Persistent P0340 (Camshaft Sensor) Code

It's sort of working... the ecu is struggling to see it, if the hard reset doesn't work then look at the wiring I'd guess you have a corroded connection somewhere. Also stick with genuine Bosch sensors if possible, there's a lot of cheap junk available...

    Persistent P0340 (Camshaft Sensor) Code

A strange fault, without either sensor a CRD won't run, but it does! Try giving it a hard reset, take the battery lead off overnight. Check all the wiring and connectors on the cam sensor, might be a bit of corrosion somewhere The hard starting is probably a worn injector. Do a spillback test...

What did you do to your jeep today?

    Retrofitting OEM speaker amps

The wiring diagrams should be in the manuals, I think the setup sends a low level signal to the amps, much like an after market car audio amp. The original amplified speaker are 2 Ohm so fitting replacement 4 Ohm speakers will drop the output a bit.

Upper Control arm Fiasco - maybe this will help others...

That's a shame, as U2slow says, it might be worth removing and fitting a couple of plugs into the grease holes, a bit of a fiddle to re-grease but not a frequent job. I wouldn't grind the pockets out unless weld more metal in to extend them, they are a nice ridged box designed to carry the load...

    Deeke's upper control arms?

Yeah like me, by the time I've imported them they cost more than the car!

Upper Control arm Fiasco - maybe this will help others...

Annoying! Have you measured them to see how much they are out? I'm guessing it's the steel sleeves that are too long?

    Torque Converter

Interesting, looks like a well known issue with a recall for some cars https://www.jeepforum.com/threads/545rfe-slow-to-engage-drive-gear-solenoid-pack.1195479/

    Cargo organizer

A bit of plywood and some thin carpet? Brings back memories of installing stereos onto old cars! Building boxes and shelves to hold speakers.

    Deeke's upper control arms?

Magnaflux crack detection process we use at work, makes the smallest flaw stand out clearly. Very nice on smaller critical items.
