    CJC Transmission pan

    I have a 42RLE PML aluminum machined transmission pan installed with a Lube Locker Gasket. No more leaks again. Has a drain plug & optional temp sensor (extra $) The pan alone keeps things cool ! It is best to also have a transmission skid plate. The OEM skid plate is rare to find today.

    Suggestions for interior water leaks

    Could it be a leak at the top of windshield? My cure was laying some clear silicone around the top of windshield. Also I removed the windshield plastic cowling and used silicone at cracked welded seams.

    30 weight oil ? The KJ gasoline 3.7 OEM specification is 5W-30

    RLE Trans downshift issue

    My 42RLE has experienced sloppy down shifts & I wonder if on level ground it could be a tad low on ATF+4 ?? Take it for a 20 min drive at hwy speed, & then check the dipstick fluid level. Just adding a bit more fluid may help. Is the fluid clean? Have you ever had the transmission filter serviced?
