    When they designed the engine they will have put that nice expensive component in there for a reason. I really wouldn't suggest removing it, it will be there to prevent it from shaking itself to bits! The bushings and shaft could probably be sorted out by a machine shop if you can't get hold of...

    Is it driving ok? The gearbox has a variable pressure system & it's own controller so it sets its own pressure. You can boost the pressure by adding a line pressure booster or adding a resistor across the pressure sensor.

    I'd guess it's seeing a fault with the security system, it would need plugging into a scanner that can read modules.

    Rain has stopped and I had a bit of spare time so I installed the resistor, shifts much better, still slips when 4th engages but much less. Wish I'd done the mod years ago, might have saved the box from diesel torque.

    They fitted a tow hitch to all of them as a recall to provide rear crash protection. Look for an engine driven fan, that's the heavy duty cooling package.

    Sorry, can't help much with that, the older KJ just has a basic manual control, if you have climate control then like you say it's probably dealer level computer access to do anything.

    I don't think you will have problems with a 2" ish lift, mine has 1 1/2" lift and the CVs are just off straight.

    OD lets it use 4th and 5th, drops the revs a lot when you get on faster roads.

    If it's the same as a KJ then its purely operated by the control knob moving vacuum to the actuator. If there's a computer in the loop then maybe it needs resetting??

    Howls around 60mph under acceleration and goes quiet when you take your foot off? Rear differential needs new bearings.

    Chasing an annoying knock on my Jeep, I knew the boomerang was in bad condition so I thought that would be it. Took it for a test drive and it was no different??? Jacked the front up to have a look and found the right hand wheel bearing has loads of slop in it.... but apart from knocking...
