I'm running 265/75R16's with just the OME and clevis lift. I still haven't done the top plates, but it's on the project list.
I get rubbing at full lock on the swaybar and just a bit of the plastic trim inside the rear of the fender well. I still haven't trimmed the pinch weld cover, and it's still there and in place...
I'd argue you can run 265's on stock gears with little to no issues, as long as you're lifted. You can notice a loss of power, but let's be serious....it's not like you went from driving a Ferrari to a Toyota Yaris. It's more like you went from driving a V8 to a V6, in the same vehicle. To hear the stories on here...you'd think I have the only Jeep Liberty in the WHOLE world that can run 265's without re-gearing...
Rims are the biggest issue, as backspacing is what will allow you to run bigger tires with little to no issue. I just have the stock 16x7 rims that come in the Sport package. I'd like something with a bit less backspacing just for the stance, but then you run into issues rubbing the fenderwell or swaybar.
