In a galaxy far far away...
Long time reader first time poster. This forum has been so useful in helping me diagnose potential problems. My apologies if my question sounds like a total noob, the other day I was under the hood changing the spark plugs and noticed a crack hose coming from the air intake housing. I duct taped it together to temporarily hold while I looked online for a replacement part. The only thing is I don't know what the hose is called?

I've attached a picture if anyone could help. Thanks again!

I can't find the part number but you could just replace it with rubber hose I think. It is part of the PCV system. You could get the actual part from the dealer too if you wanted an original fit. They aren't that expensive I think.

There is also a TSB for the yellow sludge in the oil filler tube. The parts for that would also take care of this hose.

TSB:

The parts for the TSB will run you around $50.

You may just want to opt for a rubber hose.

I just got one at the dealer and it was 10.50 for the hose and the valve. Plus then i didnt have to deal with trying to figure out something that would work.

I just replaced this hose on our 02 as well. I got it from the dealer for the same price. I was surprised because I figured it would be around 25 bucks.

Mine cracked at the y connection. It is a vacuum hose that connects to the crank case. I replaced mine with some heater hose for $3. seems to be fine. Would have probably been easiest to go to dealership for parts but I think mine would have been more expensive because of where it broke
