Got one last month, mostly for future upgrades. Reset speedo after larger tires or gear changes, and to check and reset engine codes. It claims an additional 24 hp and more torque. I would say the reality is less than half of that, it is multipurpose though and very easy to use. Hope this helps.

I am very skeptical. If anyone has experience with this I would like to hear about it.

never dyno'd mine, but the hypertech is a noticeable difference. not sure if its a 25hp jump but i noticed it immediately after putting it on. i'd recommend it over the JET performance module any day.

well 25hp in a 4000lb jeep and 25hp in a 3000lb sports car are completely different lol so its possible that it does make it since you were able to tell a difference. i emailed them to check and see if it works on a 2004 model. that dyno is for a 2010.

will this work on an 02?

According to the Hypertech site it's only for 04 and up. You can however email Sean at [email protected] with your PCM part number and he can see if an SCT tuner is compatible (it was with my 04) with it. If it is, he can write either custom tuning if you intend to do some major changes (will require datalogging and is more expensive, but is free to update after initial cost) or just some canned style (like a programmer would have, comes in a little cheaper) for different octane levels, etc. Then you can either find a cheap SCT 9550 and have him email the tune to you to load or you can buy the whole kit and kaboodle from him with the tuning already loaded.

Here is the response that I got from my email when asking if my 03 would be compatible.

The vehicles computers are different on the earlier models. We do not have a tuning device for this make and model, we may eventually but no word as to when at this time. We will not know the availability for a new application until a week or so prior to the release. I've entered your contact information so you'll be notified once ready. Thanks

Well we shall see, a guy on one of the Dodge forums just sold me his for a fairly ridiculous price. As soon as I update it I'll install and test.
