Hey all-

I just had my windshield replaced for the second time in a year. Danged rocks. Anyway, both times, I asked for OEM glass.. the last time I got a widshield with a greenish tint up top. The one installed today lacks that, but it has what they call a "third visor" thing... so it's just like a little area in the front by the rearview that has a series of ever closer black dots.

So my question is this... what do factory libertys (liberties?) come with? I can't remember what mine had before. I guess I dont really care, becuase what I have looks pretty good, I just was suprised when the guy @ the glass place told me there was no OEM w/ the tint available.

We had to replace the 02's because of a rock and it was replaced w/the extended visor version as well.

The '02 originally had the tint strip. When I made the oppointment the tech asked which one we had, so he could order the right one. My wife had the car, so I couldn't check. I just said give me what the majority of the '02s get. We ended up with the third visor thing, which I'm pretty sure is what's in the '05 too.

ARRGG, damn those rocks (censored)

I was washing my car the other day and noticed THREE new small cracks. I'm gonna try and fill them in before they spread... [-o<

how the hell are your windshields cracking from rocks? are they more like boulders? ive gotten blasted by some good sized rocks from 18 wheelers kicking them up and i dont even have any chipping.

You can have the cracks filled and it will look brand new. Atleast around me there is a place that can fill them and keep water from freezing and cracking worse.

Did you also check safelite?
How about your insurance? Some people have no clue that they have full glass with $0 deductible for windshield, or possibly labor only.

I just ran a quick quote:
