I realized the other day while reading my owner's manual (yes, some of us do :eek:) that it's recommended that you use 89 octane for trailer towing. Where we live that's the meduim grade fuel. 85 octane is recomended any other time.

Did you happen you happen to change your oil to synthetic?

this is interesting our standard petrol is 91 RON premium being 95 and 98 RON

Yeah but don't forget they use a PON scale in the US. Not RON as we do. 85 in the US is about 95 in RON.
I use 95 here as a minimum and 98 if I need more for more. 95 is the norm tho. Any less and your engine won't be happy.
