just wondering if there is a way to have that uncovered look with the lights showing other than taking the plastic covers off.

i like the way it looks without the covers but it does hurt mpg a bit as mine acts as a huge air dam without covers, and its just a pain to pull them off and on anyway.

im thinking glass covers or something like that, but i suppose if you did cover it with something clear, you would have to worry about heat build up and possibly melting the main housing, correct?

any ideas??

Gas is cheap now... Im sure the tire on the back or the roof rack cause as much. I didn't know that those covers helped so much.

Gas to me is just one of those things you have to deal with. prices will rise and fall all the time. im sure my roof basket and hellas have reduced my mpg but you just have to deal with it. the liberty isnt the most economic car anyway. cant have your cake and eat it too i guess.

The only thing I can come up with is to take off your covers and cut out the round part and figure out a way to fit some lexan on there instead. Might make the light pattern behave a little bit differently.

maybe so, but im also laid off now, and no job yet after putting in at over 70 different places. lol

even if gas was free, ild still like to find a way because its noisy to and bug guts get packed in the housing.
