Someone will come out with a rack to mount the spare out back I am sure...the gas tanks aren't in back of the JKs anymore either...I remember waiting for lifts when I first had my KJ too, they will come....overall, I like the look of the new KK...

I am sure that the reason they stick out has something to do with safety... Some company makes a plate that allows you to put a winch on the stock bumper, but I cannot remember which company it is...:)

I, too, heard that the engine was designed to drop to the ground in a collision. Back when my Mom used to drive Volvos in the 70s and 80s, that was one of their major selling points, so I believe there must be something too it, or manufacturers would not keep harping on it as a safety selling...

Its a great looking Jeep!! Ignore my question in the other thread about whether you got one or not...I am another one that went from a KJ to a JK, albeit with a small lapse in between...I am really really happy with mine..:D
