    Small Evap Leak Help

There is three places that i usually find that fix this... The two lines by the EVAP canister in the back, drivers side up in front of the gas tank, follow the lines and you will see a couple small sections of rubber hose that joins the lines, they usually crack and start to leak. The two...

    Valve replacement how-to? Help Troubleshoot?

Well i can't say i put my wrenches to that much abuse, but point well taken! I can agree if your doing this stuff daily a good set of tools pays for themselves, i don't quite have that requirement! LOL Waiting on a new rocker, lasher, and valve cover gasket. Pulled the rocker and it must...

    Charging Question

If the voltage drop is happening when you have your AC on i would suspect its a compressor clutch starting to go and pulling a lot more amperage then it should, or a slipping belt caused by the extra drag added by the compressor. Both of which i have seen real world, not a bad clutch on the KJ...

Freaking keep getting locked out my Jeep!!!!

Try getting another FOB off ebay and program it... Then pull the battery out of the original and see if it behaves for a few days without that original FOB in the mix. I have had weird keyfob issues with vehicles i worked on before, it happens. Also... Around here we have what has caught on as...

Need fast answer-- how to leave the radio on with out draining battery

I have had the opposite experience here, i run Optima's, i got one thats seven years old now and it still holds up like new on a load test. I have a couple that are only 2-3 years old and so far no problems there either. One of my Red Tops replaced an ailing DieHarder battery, around here we...

constant KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK on driver side

Either wheel bearing or CV joint, but it could also be a problem with the brake caliper being stuck since braking affects it, i would pull it all apart and check. The bolts that the brake caliper slide on sometimes get stuck, taking them apart and cleaning and greasing them will cure a lot of...

    Valve replacement how-to? Help Troubleshoot?

I double checked the dealer today, it was $409.99 for a complete head. I asked them what they mean by complete, they parts counter guy was like i don't know. So i had him bring one to the counter so i could look at it. The $409.99 price is for a head with valves and springs installed, no cam...

    Valve replacement how-to? Help Troubleshoot?

Wow! I looked up a new head, $409.99 from my local dealer, $3k? I mean wow... You can't add up enough parts to get their, must have been a huge labor charge. I realize you would need gaskets and new head bolts, and what not, but $3k??? Whew. I guess this is more common then the dealer...

    Valve replacement how-to? Help Troubleshoot?

I must have missed this post... So i will comment. I looked that up, never heard of them before, but then i don't buy shafted-on tools. How much of an idiot do you have to be to spend $400 on a set of wrenches that you can otherwise get from Sears for $30.

    Valve replacement how-to? Help Troubleshoot?

That's what we plan on doing, took it to a friend of mine who owns a shop, he tried airing it up to, valve wouldn't stay up, going to fill it with rope and get to replacing the spring this weekend. I don't think it will be that bad of a repair job after all, the valve cover removal isn't that...

    Valve replacement how-to? Help Troubleshoot?

Has anyone ever told you how big of an ass you are? I guess you live where you work, the rest of us poor bastards have to own one to drive to work, doesn't mean we can always afford to own one, but its a vicious cycle, own to get to work, and work to own. Sorry we aren't all rich like you...
