can anyone tell me the socket size i will need to remove a front brake caliper from my 02 libby? replacing the caliper in a couple hours. thanks in advance!

i think my drivers side caliper may be getting stuck. i get a squeal most times i take off from hard braking and the rim has been getting rather hot from time to time. dont know if i need to lube the caliper arms or replace the entire unit. any insight would be great.

finally got the chrysler reverse lamp switch, which really is no different than an aftermarket unit, but it did the trick and everything works as its supposed to. i originally purchased a NAPA unit, which worked when it was actuated by hand, but would not make contact inside the transmission...

still no luck with this, checked the fuse, the relay (which i guess seems fine), and the bulbs. i unplugged the NSS, cleaned it, and put it back together. anyone ever have this issue before? this is ridiculous...

reverse lights not working (Problem Solved) tail lights both work as do the brake lights, but no reverse lights at all, is there a fuse or something i should check? isnt there a sensor in the ******, possibly? any ideas on how to fix this would be great...

thanks, im gonna try this tomorrow, however, wouldnt this have been going on since i installed the pads? i know i did put this stuff on though, maybe just not enough... also, it does sound like more of a rotating noise rather than a pad vibration...

right, well i dont think its something rubbing the inside of the rim, but it sounds like maybe the rotor is warped, but its not, the only thing i can liken it to is that the bearings are going. no idea, but im gonna look at it more closely tomorrow... any other thoughts?

the pads and rotors have about 2K on them...sounds like the same thing as the other post describes. how much am i looking at for new bearings? also, it doesnt happen all the time either. maybe once or twice a day. and i dont drive that much as im living on a small island of massachusetts and...

for about the last 3 weeks to a month there is a high pitched squeak coming from the front end somewhere, it stops as i apply the brakes so i checked out my brakes on the drivers side and everything looks good, as i just replaced rotors and pads this past may. i notice the noise tends to start...

02 KJ Sport. i have 16" wheels now. not sure about the bolt pattern or backspacing though. the 17" are coming from a grand cherokee and they are stock jeep wheels....

went smooth, as expected. jeep doesnt pull to either side, steering seems to be the same. i guess the original recall was done 18,000 miles ago, but ive only owned the ride for 1.5 yrs and put 8k on it. needless to say, the lbj's were in good shape before they came off. no issues at all...
