Alrighty then. Thanks for the influx of discussion. So I went went with the 16X7s w/ 4" backspacing: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/brw-942671240 So, I accept your reasoning for going w/ 7" over 8", but do still wonder what the reasoning for listing the 16X8s in the wiki-book. Anyway...

I had read here: Jeep Liberty/Tires & Rims - Wikibooks, open books for an open world that a common choice is the stock 16x8" wheel from the Jeep Wrangler Rubicion. Is there any particular reason I should go with the 7" vs the 8"?

Hmm, so what he said was that once the springs were compressed to fit the shock, there just wasn't much clearance between the coils... Is this really a problem? Or MAYBE, I should just tell him to leave out the bottom spring seat?

Heh, I was actually just getting ready to finally finish it up this weekend... Procrastination. BUT.. I just got a call from the guy I was having assemble the front strut (didn't want to deal with spring compressors myself...) and he tells me the 24-139168 Bilsteins I got are too short. Sooo...

Finally got my hockey pucks... Turns out you can't buy them anywhere around here with out driving an hour and a half or paying $6 a piece at Big 5... So I ordered them on amazon. Finally though, I am ready to go! got my shocks, springs, rear spacers, front top plates, bought / made bump stops...

Yeah, I thought about just doing spacers, but ultimately decided I wanted to go with taller springs / shocks. I'll post back with my two cents after i get the parts and do the install. Also, I was wondering; how tall of a bump stop have people been using in the rear for a setup similar to mine?

Alright then. I'm going to order the 24-185240 rear shocks, as they are somewhat cheaper than the 33-185859 cardhu mentioned... Thanks Tom, Cardhu & Hoosier!

Thanks Cardhu, would have sucked if I ordered the wrong ones... Think I'll be getting the 33-185859's then
