Ok, I've gotcha. I should have paid more attention to your first post. I've never heard the clunking when the Jeep was already in motion; just a clunk right after I put it into drive and begin to accelerate. Tim

FWIW- I have a 2005 Sport with Command-Trac and hear the clunking noise when I go from reverse to drive in 2WD. It's not consistent, but it does happen fairly often. I think I have about 20,000 miles on the 'meter. Tim
