06 CRD vibration when letting off the go pedal
Problem has just started. I have "experimented" some and I am getting a vibration from the rear (not in the steering wheel) at any speed over 60mph when I let off the accelerator. Is a CRD right for me?
I've had like 6 VW TDIs over the years and currently 2 CRDs. Both great vehicles, but aimed at different needs. Need help with parasitic draw on my 2005 CRD
On my 06, if the door is opened it "wakes up" the BMS and it stays active for some 15mins or so, with higher current. And the door open signal is in the latch (I think) since the BMS can detect a partially open front door without the dome lights coming on. An easier way to measure current draw...- Steve777

TIMING BELT ON A DIESEL
As KJowner said, there is time factor as well. AFter ~5-6 years doesn't matter how little you've driven it, you still need to change the belt.- Steve777

CRD boost diagnostic
It is a bit late (would have been easy while you were doing the tbelt), but you can do a quick check if all the valves/lifters are working when the timing belt is off. Have the crank in it's "locked" position so that all the pistons are half way up and plenty of room for the valves to come down...- Steve777

2006 Liberty CRD Sport
Did you replace (and/or clean) the MAP sensor, the one in the intake manifold. They can get clogged/sooted up. If not I would give that a try. Otherwise the folks on the Lostjeeps CRD forum are very knowledgeable.- Steve777

Troubleshooting exercise #1
Assuming those lites stay on (and it's not just you caught them as they first flash at startup), I'd agree it is likely a wheel speed sensor or wiring. The '06s were somewhat know for breaks in the speed sensor wiring to the rear wheels, so I'd check for that first. Of course it could also be a...- Steve777

Anyone know the thermostat sensor hack?
If you have a stock thermostat which is stuck open, the "hack" is to put a thermostat inline, in the top hose close to the orig thermostat.
