Man I have the wrong build date. No lifetime suspension repairs for my KJ. What a bummer.

    Emergency brake seems weak?

This has to apply to the rear disk brake versions only. My drum style parking break will hold my Jeep off the parking pawl in almost every situation. It works flawlessly.

    Need new tires!

I can't comment - I have never used an MT tire on my daily driver. I would guess that an MT ***** in the snow and ice situations. Yes an MT has a shorter life than a regular tire Edit: Here is the Tire rack link for MT survey results

    Need new tires!

If it were me, I would refer to this chart when shopping for a new A/T tire for the KJ: Tirerack Survey Results for A/T tires Skip the Dueler Revo though - they are not so fun once bald. Look at the #2 rated tire.... Cheap, Long lasting, highly recommended and mass availiability...

    2002 liberty

Check behind the rear passenger doors for rust along the door seam. It tends to bubble up right there. Also, the leather seats were a bit more comfortable than the cloth versions in the 2002 lineup. Drum brakes have an excellent parking brake and never wear out or have sticky...

LBL, Hold off on a WK for a couple months.. The new Grand Cherokee's are running around up here on the streets of Detroit. I would imagine that in September, the WK prices will bottom out in anticipation of the new Grand.

Second note: the "clicking" is made by every Chrysler Transmisison. It is the electronic doo-dad that turns the sine wave into a square wave for selecting each transmission gear. Even if you don't hear it, it's there... Since all Chrysler transmissions utilize a square wave signal.

    Head Gasket Issues?

We DO need a radiator that is constructed with 100% metal. Replacing radiators every year or so is a big PITA. Note about quality - I am on radiator #1 [1 stock / 1 Mopar replacement] and so far no issues but I have not hit the 1 year mark with the this new one yet.

    Wheeling On Private Property

There are states in the US that allow trespassers to be shot. You'd better get permission to be on anyones property no matter what excuse you think you have.

    New Battery

Jim, Thank you for stopping by our little corner of the interent. I've been giving these guys a hard time with my sarcastic posts for most of this thread. I have never had an issue with a RedTop. In fact I drove my Jeep everyday this week to work and it started each time... Imagine that...
