Do you think the strut chopped it off? How would I fix that if it did?

I have the Frankenlift on my Jeep we installed in December, and the passenger side boot has ruptured (the big boot closest to the intermediate shaft, not the one near the wheel). I already purchased NAPA reman. shafts, but I am waiting on an intermediate shaft to ship to me from rockauto, and...
