    HOW TO: Install Sirius Starmate

Sorry, I've been in the process of opening my restaurant and haven't been paying attention here (or anywhere outside of the four walls of my place). Anyway, iCarl's method is exactly what I did. The wire tucks easily under the stripping on the driver's side above the windows.

Good to know.. parking brake doesn't do much.. until

"When I drive a rental car, I don't know what's going on with it, right? So a lot of time I drive, like, for 10 miles with the emergency parking brake on. That doesn't say a lot for me, but it says even less for the "emergency parking brake." It's more like an "emergency make-the-car-smell-funny...

Diff between Columbia Ed. and Rocky Mountain

My 2005 RME: * Different wheels * Renegade hood/grill and rear locker * Different cloth seats with "Jeep" embroidered on headrests * Body-colored fenders * No chrome except "Jeep" badge on hood and stuff on tailgate. I don't think there are other changes. My window sticker suggests...

    Sirius radio issues

It's my experience that the talk stations tend to have a lower sound quality than the music stations. Perhaps not quite as bad as most webcasts, but far from the quality you might have expected. For that matter, most of the music channels don't sound great to me. For example, Pure Jazz and...

    Sirius Sportster owners

I can tell you that my Starmate-R runs hot, but not so hot that it distorts the screen. You might want to get a replacement while it's still (hopefully) under warranty.

    HOW TO: Install Sirius Starmate

Small update: The USA-Spec aux input device crapped out. I heard similar complaints from other USA-Spec users, so I replaced it with a PIE adapter (same basic operation). I put the PIE adapter in the open space to the left of the HU behind the scenes. The PIE adapter only has one set of...

    Sirius Sportster mount question

Here's where I mounted my Starmate-R: I used the suction cup car mount to friction fit into the cubby below the HVAC controls. I imagine the Sportster could fit without impinges too much upon the HVAC controls. Try test fitting it in there and see how it looks. For more pics and...

    05-06 3.7L Fuel Economy???

The window sticker on my 2005 Rocky Mountain ed. says 17/22. You can always get the "official" EPA mileage data (and compare cars and classes of cars) at the official site: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.htm Keep in mind that those numbers will vary by use and are reputed to be...

HOW TO: install a Kenwood Music Keg and Kenwood headunit &gt

That's pretty cool! Voice prompts combined with eBay pricing makes it sound like a great value. Out of curiosity, why did you decide not to mount it under the driver's side rear seat or under one of the front seats?

    Installed a Auxiliary Input Converter

How is the PIE adapter working? I installed the USA Spec adapter about a week after I got my Liberty, but it recently stopped working. Grr. I like the two sets of inputs, but I'm going to replace it with a PIE if I hear good things about it.

HOW TO: Find a How-To not listed here & Forum Guidelines

Re: Removing interior trim that covers drivers seat belt ree Not a clue, but did you consider running your wires up the A-piller trim to the roofliner trim gasket? You don't actually need to remove anything; your fingers gently tuck the wire in. That's how many of us ran the Sirius antenna wire.

    Replace 6-Disc with Sirius?

Dunno what the Mopar parts will run you, but you can also purchase a device that will plug into the CD bus port in your factory head unit for about $70. The device I use gives me 2 AUX inputs via RCA connectors. You can then install any Sirius plug-and-play device you want. A Sirius radio...
