OK, have an 06 Liberty CRD. Keep getting air in powersteering fluid. I have changed the pump, and rack. No visible leaks anywhere on the hoses, and also tried swapping out the return line, New o-rings on everything and it still is getting air in the system somehow? It wont do it when its cool...

its not to difficult to do yourself. locally i know i can get it done for around a 100 bucks but it scares me not knowing what filters they used, and are they using true ATF+4 or something compatiable which i hear is not a good thing. the filter that looks like a motor oil filter has a drainback...

i have noticed when i start the engine on my jeep the fluid level drops a bit at idle eve after bleeding everything.

Mine does have a reducer from probably half inch I'd to 3/8 or so about a foot before it dumps back into the reservoir. Now would this just suddenly start causing a foaming issue? its a crd so the high pressure and return line are sold as a unit and the high pressure failed and was replaced by the previous owner. im assuming the return was as well is why I haven't jumped to it as the cause. How about the rack? can it cause air to enter the system? to throw in a further...

i have an issue with air getting in the power steering and foaming the fluid. I have checked all connections and replaced o-rings on pressure and return lines at rack, the high pressure line was replaced by the PO right before i bought the jeep and it had air in it when i bought it. Bled it out...

im running 0gauge from front to back, and grounding to a seat bolt. The ground is probably really about 2gauge. Im seeing drop to about 12.5 volts at full tilt at idle. roughly 13 volts up in rpms still seeing some dimming. really need to get it fixed.

mine is a CRD, so not sure it makes any differences as far as engine grounding needs. I plan to run 0ga for a battery postive to alternator post, and battery negative to like the shock tower bolt perhaps id think that would be a good ground point, now how about the engine ground does it need to...

that dimming is what im trying to avoid, voltage drop is ******* stuff. Ive also heard a stiffening cap wont do much for you in the long run.
