    Foaming powersteering fluid

ive followed the procedure from my FSM which was paraphrasing 1) Fill to correct level and let settle 2) attach vacuum pump and pull between 20-25in hg for at least 4 minutes 3) diconnect vac pump and check level fill as needed and repeat step 2 and 3 until level stays constant 4) raise...

    Foaming powersteering fluid

no i have replaced the rack, pump, put a new line from reservoir down to pump due to a rub almost through the old line, and tried swapping out a different return line with new o-rings on everything and still it draws air. I bled the thing for almost 2 hours last night including using vacum on...

    Foaming powersteering fluid

the lines have been replaced just before i bought the jeep not long ago. i have also tried to replace the return to see if ti made a difference and it did not. The pressure side i wouldnt think would let air in? just fluid out. The pump is also new so i know its not the pump or rack. Is the cap...

No visible leaks anywhere on the hoses, and also tried swapping out the return line, New o-rings on everything and it still is getting air in the system somehow? It wont do it when its cool...

    ****** binding on 04 Liberty

its not to difficult to do yourself. locally i know i can get it done for around a 100 bucks but it scares me not knowing what filters they used, and are they using true ATF+4 or something compatiable which i hear is not a good thing. the filter that looks like a motor oil filter has a drainback...

    ****** binding on 04 Liberty

which ****** do you have? i know my CRD was doing the whole wouldnt move until it idled for about 20 seconds then when going from reverse to forward would kill it at times. Changing both filters and fluid cured it. I guess the 545rfe has a bad drainback issue. the 4 speeds in the gassers might...

Keep getting air in power steering, HELP!!!

Mine does have a reducer from probably half inch I'd to 3/8 or so about a foot before it dumps back into the reservoir. Now would this just suddenly start causing a foaming issue? Also how can I get rid of it? The inlet on the resivor is the smaller size plus the other end has the o ring fitting...

Keep getting air in power steering, HELP!!!

its a crd so the high pressure and return line are sold as a unit and the high pressure failed and was replaced by the previous owner. im assuming the return was as well is why I haven't jumped to it as the cause. How about the rack? can it cause air to enter the system? to throw in a further...

Alternator and electrical upgrade can it be done??

im running 0gauge from front to back, and grounding to a seat bolt. The ground is probably really about 2gauge. Im seeing drop to about 12.5 volts at full tilt at idle. roughly 13 volts up in rpms still seeing some dimming. really need to get it fixed.

Alternator and electrical upgrade can it be done??

mine is a CRD, so not sure it makes any differences as far as engine grounding needs. I plan to run 0ga for a battery postive to alternator post, and battery negative to like the shock tower bolt perhaps id think that would be a good ground point, now how about the engine ground does it need to...

Alternator and electrical upgrade can it be done??

that dimming is what im trying to avoid, voltage drop is ******* stuff. Ive also heard a stiffening cap wont do much for you in the long run.
