In order to know which transfer case you have you need to get under the jeep and read the id tag on the back of the transfer case.

It would be much cheaper if you removed the axles and brought them to the axle shop.

To get the exhaust flange to separate I just used an air hammer, but a chisel and hammer will work as well.

I would have dropped the cradle with the entire drivetrain instead of pulling the entire front end off.

I have an MBRP exhaust in the box still. Won't ever use it, it just doesn't promote good exhaust flow. I just run a cheap flowmaster for now.

You could test the system with a cooling system pressure tester, you can rent one at most autoparts stores.
