    Rusty or Frankenlift

IMHO - It comes down to what you're doing with it and what you want to do. I've helped a guy here in Dayton (Eddo) install a Frankenlift and three Rusty's lifts. I agree with what I've heard him say - that the Rusty's is the best bang for the buck. Yes, the Frankie will be fully assembled...

    Electronic stability and modifications

Adam, I've never used a JET chip, so I can't help you on that. Try a search on this board or lostkjs.com on that topic. As for ESP and a lift, I don't think the lift will be giving you problems. I've lifted my '06 Renny and it has as many ESP faults as before... Now the lift you want is...

    BIG, wanna go BIG

although you may need spacers to keep it away from the pinch weld at lock and the suspension. I run 32's (timberline mt 235/85r16), and the narrower tire makes it easier to fit (i.e., no spacers) with my frankenlift. i can't see 33's with only a 2.5 rusty's plus a clevis lift (check out...

    Cost of your mods...

Since I have the Renegade, I didn't need the skid plates, otherwise that would have been first. Skink Slider rock rails - $250 CB setup - $175 Frankenlift - $750 (used) Dayton Timberline MT's - $650 Front Diff. Collar - $65 GPS & RAM mount - $400 So that's over $2K of cash this year...

New Frankenlift Need Wheels To Complement

I've got 235/85r16 (32") and they are as tall as you would want to go. Bumper trimming is required, and they haven't been on a trail yet, but Saturday is coming soon! If this is your daily driver, get some BFG AT/KO's in 245/75 and you will be happy.

Brand New '06 Liberty Renegade - Two Questions

yes, it works the same way on the US version and the British version. I have never tried to go into R at 60, but it is almost impossible to get it over there, let alone if thy have it speed limited. The 6spd rocks, you just may notice some dogging from the ESP if you pull out and turn a corner...

What KJ is best to buy?

I've got an '06 Renny 6spd that I love (except for the ESP), but I'd go with a CRD unless you want the wrangler looking front end. The Renny roof racks only hold about 1/3 what the sport's can, and the OEM rock rails aren't worth the investment. you can add the light bar on your own if you...

    Less than Flattering Review

All I can say is that they should have used the 6spd. I didn't realize how bad the accel. was for you guys with autos. The 6spd (can anyone drive a manual any more?) is VERY peppy. (not take on firebirds peppy, but smack any of the numbers for the Xterra or FJ peppy). And, you have to admit...

    2006 ESP issue? Sluggish turns!

Since it works fine when the ESP off button is pushed, I'm wondering if DCX has some faulty program logic in that software. (I also don't wan't it to kick in if I miss judge an opening and am about to be hit by a truck! ) I'm sure they tested it, but since 99% of the KJ's are probably...

    2006 ESP issue? Sluggish turns!

I have a '06 Reney with a 6spd. I have noticed that sometimes going around a corner, or pulling out onto a main street, the Libby will get sluggish, and the ESP or Traction Control light may flash. My wife and I both have this problem, and it goes away when we hit the ESP off switch, but we...
