The settings on the transfer case only control what happens between the transfer case and the differentials. They have no control over what happens between the differentials and the wheels. So "part time" will lock the driveshafts in a 50/50 split and force both of them to spin equally all the...
frascona...I have a suggestion. (whistle) I'm selling my basket. I live about 35 minutes from Lexington. This basket will mount to your Liberty Sport and you could mount lights to it if you wanted and I'm selling it for $40. I could bring it to your house. You won't find another basket...
Yeah the Goodyear ST has a huge price tag...and the most terrible reviews I've ever seen on a tire in my life. Avoid them at all costs.
I bought 255/70-16 General Grabber AT2 for $86 each at tirerack.com. They look just like the BFG ATs...perform just like them...for half the price! I have...
I have the equivalent to these shocks in the RS series, and they rattle and make noise like crazy...esp. when cold outside. Physically the RSX and RS shocks look the same. Same housing and shock body and everything. Only internal differneces. I wonder what the difference is that makes the...
I never have been able to get rid of the noise in my rear shocks. I've tried washers and everything else. Tightened them down with an air wrench. they are TIGHT...and still make that noise...mostly when it's cold outside.. I might put the factory shocks back on...they don't rattle and they...
Yes you can. The 2004 and older models were a nightmare. I did my wife's '04 without removing the bumper, but it was a royal pain in the ***. The '05 and newer models are cake. I did my '05 tow hooks in 5 minutes flat. Everything is visible and simple to get to. Good luck.
Yeah, whatever it was hit the rear wheel/tire directly. The windows are all in tact, and there is no sign of an impact to the body directly. Looks to me like a small car slammed directly into the rear axle from the side or rear corner.
Just keep in mind that from a mechanical standpoint, not driving a vehicle is worse for it than driving it. So storing your Jeep away for a long period of time and not driving it could be bad for it's "health". You want to make sure that somebody starts it up and drives it periodically...even...
Somebody said torque the bolts to 65 ft./lbs. Are you sure that's enough? With a 5,000 lb. capacity hitch and a heavy steel skid plate back there I think I'd want to get the bolts a little tighter than that. Or at least use thread lock or something. What do you guys think?
Yeah the brake light switch is the brown/white one going into the harness above the pedal. The brake signal is behind the driver side kick panel in a white plastic box. It's flagged "BRAKE". Power and ground go through the firewall to the battery. Just like they all said. It took me a while...
yup there is a "gate" there you have to shift around. pull to the right, then back and it'll go into low range. it's best to be rolling slowly forward with the ****** in neutral when you do this.
Yeah that's what I do. If I can't find a helping hand I get a floor jack out and that becomes my extra hands. (whistle) The gas tank skid is the only one I don't have. Maybe I'll get that one for Christmas or something. :) I've been wondering if it would work with the factory receiver...
I only have a few pictures at my cardomain site. www.cardomain.com/ride/2164878
The install isn't too bad but I recommend two guys. It's helpful to have someone hold down that rear axle on each side while you pop the spacers in. The front required a shop press to compress the coil spring...
The Body Control Module controls all these functions. The BCM frequently fails on these KJs and then weird things happen. My wife's interior lights would just come on by themselves at random times and her horn would just beep while she was driving. It was weird. You might want to have your...
