    The problem lies in China and India. They are both starting to use more fuel than we do. That and ofcourse the damn tree-huggers that won't alow for US drilling.

    Well, I went ahead and changed the plugs today. I went with Autolite Plat 2's. The plugs that came out were not that bad but I wanted to rule this out. I would say they oe plugs had about a .05-.055 gap. I put the new ones at .040. Hopefully this helps.

    I appreciate all of the responses. I would be more than happy if I was getting what 2007sport is getting with his. I think my next move will be to check one of the easy to get to plugs and just see what I am working with.

    I can not in my mind come up with a logical reason that a full-size 4x4 pickup with a v8 gets considerably better fuelmileage than this small suv with a v6. I don't mean to beat a dead horse with this mpg thing but 12mpg is not acceptable nor reasonable.
