    Revtek Lift Installed!

Wow maan! That slice looks fairly deep. Can I ask how you did that, and what the prognosis is?

    TIRES ARE HERE!!

New Geo AT's After checking out the tread on those new Geolandar AT's, looks like they could give the Bridgestone Revo's a run for their money. Will have to monitor Tire Rack's tire comparison chart to see how they perform against the other AT's. Let us know how they work out Jeepster.

What to do, What to do...

Question about Geolandar ATII's.... You guys who got over 20K on your ATII's did really good. I went thru 2 sets of 31x10.5/15's on my XJ and when they got up to around 20K they got very noisy due to cupping on the outer edges of the tread. Alignment was good too. I'm thinking the tire...

BJ Recall: Do YOU think these joints are good?

Eddo... Eddo, was the tech talking about the DC replacement LBJ seals or the Moog K3199's? I've heard the Moogs are Heavier Duty. Can't believe I'm having to replace BJ's on a "new" Jeep! Kinda miss that tough SFA.

    800,000 to be recalled

Poor design? IMO, the whole lower control arm on the Liberty is a poor design. First of all, it hangs or curves down too far decreasing ground clearance; second, the whole weight of the front end is on the lower control arm and all that weight is pulling down on that poor inverted ball joint...

    Ball Joint Recall # 2

DC/Jeep will be pretty busy over the next year(s) replacing all those LBJ's, not to mention the expense. It will be interesting to see if they will offer to, or be required to reimburse, or at least partially reimburse those of us who went to the trouble to install Moogs or paid Jeep to have...

    Ball Joint Recall # 2

__________________________________________________________ Yeah, I wonder if they'll avoid the factory LBJ's this time. Geez, what if they go with Moog greaseables... maybe we should be buying stock in Moog now! Even with the expanded recall, which I knew was going to happen (Jeep's got an...

    Ball Joints Greasable ? ?

So is it holes in your boots or no grease??? What do you think??? \ I agree with others, go with the hole in the boot. Some grease is better than none (unknown if there's any grease left from factory). Might delay an eventual LBJ failure. Just pump up the boots after water crossings and...

    sub woofer install

Hey, thanks again for the info on how you accessed those two small screws on the sub. Before I go pulling the sub out to see if I can access those scews, were you actually able to vary the bass freq, ie. lower the bass range? Is it worth the effort? TIA

    sub woofer install

Question about subwoofer adjusting screws... Hey WildStar, welcome aboard! I totally agree with you about the "instructions are a joke"... All pictures! Not even any freq. range specs. I didn't notice those black adjusting screws on the subwoofer when I installed it about 4 months ago...

Horn Chirp on an "EVIC-less" 05

You lucked out... all I got was the panic horn blaring. Pressing the panic button a second time silenced that. So apparently some of our BCM's need reprogramming as per jelohead. I always use the lock-all button on the door anyway. I've never heard anyone on any forums comment about the...

Horn Chirp on an "EVIC-less" 05

Same problem on my '05, although I have no alarm. Tried repeatedly. Possibly a programming problem in the BCM? If I ever install an EVIC, I'll try the horn disable using the EVIC.

    Good news for 2004 owners!

LBJ recall could be huge... Hopefully, with the NHTSA riding DC's butt, their investigation into the LBJ failures will move quickly (before DC ends up with a class-action lawsuit due to deaths from LBJ-related accidents). Does anyone know if DC has been using the same LBJ part for every year...

    Under seat Sub.

Mopar subwoofer That's how I would describe it too... a very booming bass. I was hoping it would reach into the lower bass freqs that the stock speakers can't produce. I use to set my treble at +8 and bass at +5 with the stock speakers. Now, with the "sub", I've had to readjust my bass down...

    Under seat Sub.

Just installed my Mopar Subwoofer... It was an easy install. I was disappointed in the install manual... all pics... no text, no specs. Apparently the sub amp has overload protection. I cranked it up quite high to check for vibrations between the subwoofer frame and the seat frame, and the...
