    I had a "bra" on an old Pontiac Grand Am I had and it really screwed up the paint underneath. It got all dry and cracked looking. I think maybe if you remember to wax under it, it should be ok....

    For lack of a better picture, I was thinking of doing the bottom something like this (thinner leather of course). That plastic seems brittle and might crack if stapled. I do like the idea of seeing if I can take it apart more and get the leather up under the top part.

    What did you sell or trade to get your KJ?

    I traded in a Suzuki Grand Vitara. It was a good car, but was puking blue smoke, the A/C didn't work, horn didn't work, 4x4 was getting clunky, etc.... It was a fun car, but was underpowered anyway.

    Rust On Hood Seal

    Yeah, that's totally what I have. Not a big problem, but I would be ticked if I opened it and it was all bubbling underneith in a few years. I'll probably just put a little paint on it and lube the seal. :)
