This is the KK section Hey, you're in the KK section.

    Replace OEM Tires

No doubt 245/70-16 will fit w/o rubbing. It seems that the KK has more clearance than the KK. (Someone on LOST-KJ has fitted 265/75-16 with a minor Revtek lift and claims no rubbing!) I am interested to know if 245/75-16 will fit on a stock KK.

    liftkit for CRD

This is a KJ subject First of all, your question belongs in the KJ section, not the KK section. Being KJ-owner and Dutchman myself (but living in France), I feel obliged to help you out. Some kits are not suitable for the CRD, simply because the diesel engine is heavier. I had first a...

    Sand Dunes

I had some experience in the Moroccan sand dunes, guided by a local expert. He was quite impressed with the capabilities of the KJ. He prefers to drive in Full Time (with the central diff open), certainly NOT in low, because you need to keep going. There is sufficient power (he called the...

    Water Crossings...

That is TOO MUCH! Top of the front bumper (for the pre-2005'ers: the mid section of it) should be your limit.

    Water Crossings...

water fording Iceland If there is one country where they specialize in water fording, it must be Iceland. I have gone up to 23", but wouldn' t go further than that. No water will enter into the interior (your are not supposed to park your car there). Some further advice: it makes a lot of...

    BDS Spring Rates

Mmmm, interesting. These are exactly equal to the spring rates of my King Springs (front KJFR-27HD: 450 lbs, rear KJRR-28: 210 lbs). Could the BDS springs be produced by King Springs? The front springs are bearing roughly twice the actual weight, because of the leverage in the geometry of...

    anyone tried 235/75R16

I have always been a supporter of this size, as it avoids rubbing problems and need for trimming. Problem is, there is very little available in this size, no real AT's. Unfortunately, the Destination AT is not available in Europe. Otherwise, I would certainly try them.

crd lift, for broken arrow trail, az

You need 2" of lift to bring the clearance under the front diff skid at the same level as the rear diff clearance.

    Is the liberty really rugged?

My Liberty CRD (Cherokee in Europe) is the worst car I ever owned in terms of technical problems. I have never been at the garage as often as in the last two years. I have taken the car to Iceland and to Morocco. It is reasonably rugged, but not made for high speed off-road use. You will never...

    Size question

235/85-16 will certainly not fit. 245/75-16 will work with 2" lift, but still chance of minor rubbing. 245/70-16 is perfect, but exists only as road or mixed (AT) tire, not as MT 235/75-16 would be perfect, but hardly exists in any type of tire 225/75-16 will always fit and offers good...

    skyjacker kit

I have the Skyjacker coilover kit on my 2.8 CRD 2005. It was expensive and expected superior quality. Well, it gives a nice comfortable ride, but it wears quickly. The first rear shock failed quickly and had to be replaced. Now one of the front struts begins to make noise. The kit is clearly not...
