AEV Alloy Wheels on the way!

Just in case you guys were wondering, the wheels are backed up pretty well: Also, just so you know the wheels do have a lifetime structural warranty on them. We built them extra HD so that even the TJ guys couldn't break them... David Harriton American Expedition Vehicles Thanks, Dave!

AEV Alloy Wheels on the way!

I haven't noticed any rubbing on the sway bar. I get a little tread buz on the plastic fender cover on the pinch weld and in front of the wheel. I did some minor trimming in front, down by the little black air dam. Other than that, I LOVE 'EM! I just waxed them up tonight and they are really...

AEV Alloy Wheels on the way!

Yeah, I guess I didn't say it very well. When I looked over both wheels, I was surprised at the stock wheels lack thickness and bridging for lateral torque. In comparison, the AEV wheels have significant depth in the spokes with heavy structural bridging which in my estimation would make the...

New AEV wheels but still lacking the Wisconsin deer shredder

I finally got my AEV wheels on. The next step is a Manik or Aries Brush Guard with a fender-matching Line-X coating. Any thoughts on which brush guard is better made?

AEV Alloy Wheels on the way!

The shipping weight was 26 lbs per wheel. When I got back from the tire shop and took my stock wheels out of the back of the KJ, I was very surprised how light they are. The AEV wheels are much better built and are made in the USA, not in China like the stockers.

    Tire Size/Type ?

I am on my third set of BFG's. I had over 55,000 miles on my last set on a 4-tire rotation. I just bought 5 for my CRD and I still love them. Excellent in dry, rain, snow, mud and rock. Every time I buy new tires, I check them all out and I keep coming back to the same conclusion. BFG's in...

Anyone have a picture of a '06 Liberty with brush guard?

I am trying to find a good picture of the 2006 model Manik and Aries brush guards for comparison. Does anyone have a picture of them? Thanks.

AEV Alloy Wheels on the way!

Yeah, thanks. I can hardly wait to get the wheels on! They ran $970 for 5 wheels with shipping. As for the vent-shades, I bought them from the dealer. By the way, just ask for a discount and they will give one to you. I have yet to pay anywhere near list price on any Jeep accessory. I like...

AEV Alloy Wheels on the way!

Finally, I found some nice wheels for the KJ! American Expedition Vehicles makes a 16x8 with 4.6" backspace to fit perfectly on the KJ. Now all I have to do is wait... Here are the "Before" pictures: And the wheels soon going on with "blacks out": Yeah baby!

    Pikes Peak in the CRD

No Sagging; I have the factory CRD springs. On the rear, I left the 1/2" or so factory spring seat buffer in place so the rear is up as high as it should. No need to correct the headlight POA.

    Pikes Peak in the CRD

My wife and I were in Colorado Springs this past week. We took a trip up to Pikes Peak on Monday but a storm came in that was so bad the Ranger turned us around and sent us back down only about 1/2 mile from the peak. We went back up Wendesday and had a great time. Here are a few pictures with...

Looking for an LSD or Locker...

I'd like to stay with Mopar parts for warranty reasons. What is the best diff offered by Mopar for an '06 Liberty CRD? I had a factory locker in my Chev 2500HD and loved it. Now I want the same kind of performance for my Liberty.
