    I have an 09KK bought new. I think you should have a look at the exhaust for a leak hitting the fender, my fenders have never felt hot unless being hit with direct sun light. I live in the mountains and often tow 5-7 thousand pound trailers up mountain grades, never once has my KK overheated...

    I did the same but doing it like that misses as much as it gets. Don't believe me, put it on a hoist after you **** it off and look. That salt dust is everywhere! Unless you pull the front wheels there is no way to wash down the axle stubs to fend off corrosion. My next vehicle will get...

    It's Hard to hose off a vehicle in sub freezing temps. The body of my KK is almost rust free, it's all the undercarriage that's rusting away.

    Replacing it is a huge job, especially considering it also has the infamous hub stub rot issue also. The only thing pushing me towards fixing it it I still have the lifetime drivetrain warranty.

    I was under my '09 KK looking for the source of an oil leak (rotted oil pan) and found a much more concerning rust issue, the front subframe has a large rust hole on the verticle section avove the left lower control arm!
