a clicking noise they said. I’ve asked them to change the oil in the front and rear diff, replace the pinion seal and they said the CV joint needs doing. Ive decided even though a bit more money to get a new Propshaft for it. Just need them to confirm what size I require. Unless anyone knows...

Thank you. Spoke to garage this morning, the rear Diff is a noise from the internal, what could this possible be? I’ve asked for the oil to be replaced on it

Where did you get your new one from? I’m going to ask the garage to do the CV joint, find where the diff is leaking and re-oil, check noise on rear diff (wheel bearing) and re oil and change the oil in the transfer case.

That’s what I thought, possible wheel bearing at the rear. The CV I believe is the front Propshaft but the rear into the transfer case. I’m possibly going to replace the whole Propshaft. They didn’t say where the leak was. I was thinking could be the Pinion seal? With what they said “slack” it...

So the Jeep is back in the garage. (Actually had a look for issues) and the list comprises of……. Rear Diff clicking o/s outer rear shaft. Prop shaft gaiter gone, flange noisey. Transfer box slack, noisy. Front Diff leaking So my question, they are struggling to find parts. Without measuring...

Seemingly everything is pointing towards this. Would it possibly be that worn the extra weight being pulled could make it grind?

Just looking around on here, just a thought, could this possibly be a bad serpentine belt bearing? When engine is under more load (towing) could it be coming from here but sounding like it’s from the underside? The AC doesn’t work and seeing a video online of someone else having grinding could...

Yeah this is all something I know nothing about and don’t have the space to do it. Even so the clicking and god awful sound in 4wd having done a search sounds like the driveshaft CV. Just wondering what else it could be that may cause it in 2wd

Right. Little update. I’ve just got back from collecting the Jeep from the garage, 5 minutes from home I decided to put it into 4wd and see how it got on. Well……. Aweful. Horrendous clicking, metal popping sounds, car didn’t like it at all? Front CV? Or something else? Would this make a slight...

Yes they are good. There is a 4x4 specialist which I may take it too
