Marlon, thanks! :) My 04 Dakota has the 3.7 and sounds just like that at idle. I was wondering for the longest time because I grew up with OHV engines that always seem very quiet. Just assumed it had to do with the two cams. Peace. :p

Yep, I've been pulled over for that. :(

I've had leaks occur before on my old XJ on the intake gasket, which caused the idle to jump to 1200rpm (talk about a giant vac leak). :rolleyes:

This is also one reason to never use Octane Booster from the bottle to the tank. Reason being is the methanol used in a lot of those (some FI cleaners use methanol as well), which is bad for these engines. Sorry for adding to an old post btw. ;) As a funny, my XJ (Cherokee) with the tiny...
