I believe that "small amp" is actually a crossover that diverts the high frequencies to the tweeter mounted in the dash. My driver's side front speaker has recently started "popping" and I want to replace it, but am concerned I will lose my tweeters. How have you guys addressed this?

Brooklyn had three (3) Jeep dealers (Speed, Kings Plaza & Bay Ridge) up until 2006. They are all history now, the last one moth-balled near the end of 2008. I now have to go to Manhattan, Queens or Long Island to get my KJ serviced by an authorized dealer.
