    Has anyone else's Jeep started itself? Bizarre.

    I called the dealership where the 1st owner purchased the car. One of the techs told me their usual sequence is: lock, unlock, lock. I tried it and it worked! I must say, it's a little freaky the first time your car starts up with nobody inside it.

    Thanks to everyone who lended their time and insight -- especially Prospect62. I poked around under the steering column and, lo and behold, I found an auto-starter (Audiovox AS-9075a). You'd think the dealer would have mentioned this when trying to sell me the car...nope. Anyway, one...

    This is going to sound crazy. Wondering if anyone else has experienced their Jeep starting itself -- without an auto-starting system installed! Wife drove the 2005 Liberty Limited home last night, shut it off, took the key out, got out, locked the door. Baby was whining to hold the keys...
