That looks like a good alternative. Love to hear if someone has given this a try. I made a TDI tool, worked ok, but would much rather lock the cam gears up when trying to torque the bolt.

Did you get the rotor on flat against the mating surface? Did you torque the lug nuts the same. Either can cause runout on the rotor. Runout is when the rotor disk doesn't rotate true and acutally wobbles. You'll get uneven wear on the pads. Even a small amount of runnout can result in pulsing...

Sounds like you may have had the ECM out of the vehicle at least once. try inspecting and reseating the connectors.

You haven't changed out any computers have you? ECM, BCU

114k and going strong. Just make sure it has the timing belt replaced, or it should be the first thing on your todo list. Lots of good CRD info over on Lostkjs.com

Mine became misaligned, lived with it for a couple of months, went offroad and cycled the handle into and out of 4lo a couple dozen times during the day and by the end of the day it was working normally again. Been about a year now, no problems.

Love my CRD. I factory ordered in 2005 and 114,000 so far. Didn't know a thing about diesels before I bought my KJ. Be glad to answer any questions.

I had the same thing happen in my Ranger about 6 years ago. I'm still cleaning out the white powder.

I swapped seats from an 04 into my 05 and had to swap the airbag sensor between the two. Very simple to swap them.

What's the name of the dealer you bought it from? I always remove the dealership advertising when I buy a vehicle. I'd be more than happy to leave it on ... for a yearly fee ;-)
