The module itself could be bad, mine showed code P1000 (not a bcm code) on a 2003 jeep liberty and it was a defective module, replaced it with used one off ebay and lights out. make sure you get one for same year with same part number, I also did a build sheet check on google to see if the used...- buffmattster

Jeep KJ incorrect gear ratio code 4th gear
Hi, First replace the inexpensive, easy to change, front and rear Input/output shaft speed sensors. They just plug in the side of the trans, one front one in the back (Driver side). Have to keep replacing both front cv axles on jeep liberty
Saw a youtube video with similar problem, believe it was Southmainauto. With regards to attaching inner CV shaft to front diff and not pushing it in far enough for C-Clip near lip of shaft to lock onto front diffs male/female shaft. Good luck- buffmattster
