Is there a how to for cruise control?
ok I'll take a look around see if I can find the kit, if not I'll hit a junk yard and try to find parts. I didn't know if anything had to be reprogrammed or not for it. Anything to avoid the stealerships.- brusk

Seat options
I can't seem to talk my gf into selling her old 05 2wd 3.7 Liberty so I think its time to upgrade a few things as she likes to take it on road trips. The cloth seats are extremely uncomfortable and seem to hurt both of our backs. What other options are there? I was thinking either newer Liberty...- brusk

Eaton Truetrac install Bolts dont fit
I've spoken with Summit Racing and Eaton several times now it looks like they only make a single diff for all years. In 05 Dodge/chrysler/Jeep switched from standard to Metric and the Metric bolts are just a hair bigger. Eaton doesn't supply or offer bolts and isn't sure of the exact fix people...- brusk

Eaton Truetrac install Bolts dont fit
The length of the bolt is fine it's the diameter of the hole in the new diff it's about 1mm smaller than the oem diff. I've got new bolts that should be here tomorrow if they have the same issue I'll just have the machine shop enlarge the hole a little.- brusk

I hadn't planned on using the old bolts but the factory bolts don't seem to fit. Didn't know if there was a common aftermarket place to get them or if maybe the dealer has different bolts that would actually fit. Got to get it done so I guess I'll take it over to the dealer and check jeep vs...- brusk

I started installing a Truetrac in my girlfriends 05 Liberty 2wd and got to bolting up the ring gear to the new diff and found that the bolts don't fit all the way in the diff holes. The OEM bolts appear to have a taper near the head that hits. Look like either new bolts are required or the...- brusk

I would think more like $550. I do all my own labor. Cost me in the neighborhood of 550-600 for my Ram for the truetrac, bearings and fluid. Not sure if the smaller axle uses the same side bearing tool. I'll probably go that route as every 2wd should really have an LSD anyway and look at the...- brusk

Agreed, most platforms it's cheaper to trade in your vehicle for a 4x4 rather than playing money for unknown parts. Transmission, xfer case, axles, suspension, drive shafts, hubs, electronics etc. Trans is an auto. Friend of mine suggested that maybe they just had too much gravel on the...- brusk

It's never had any issues in the winter, this gravel and the incline just seem to get the best of it. The boat was hooked up so I would think that should have added plenty of weight. The boat weighs 1800 ish with what 10% being on the tongue. Maybe an LSD and more weight.- brusk
