I bought a Jasper reman 3.7 engine and transmission for my Jeep Liberty, They have approx 15K miles now. Is it feasible to remove/install them into a Jeep Patriot I am considering buying or a bad idea?
Repair too complex for this old person, so I bit the bullet, took it to the shop, got a super flush and new heater core. Working good for now. Thanks for the advice!
I suspected I had a heater core leak in my 2004 Jeep Liberty due to inside of my windshield fogging on chilly mornings when I turned my heater on and a very slight antifreeze smell. Turning on the defroster made the problem worse until the engine got hot enough that the fan could blow "see...
Bought my 2004 Jeep Liberty 4WD new. At 225K miles had blown engine replaced with a Jasper engine. At 245K miles replaced transmission replaced with a Jasper transmission. Both are performing well and currently have no known major issues. Just ongoing check engine light and electric window...
Today my Liberty started intermittent vibration/jerks at steady 40-50 mph. Have owned this Liberty since it had 10K miles and it now has 235K. Used for transportation only. Replaced engine at 215K with a Jasper engine and it has performed well. The vibration/jerks happens at steady throttle...
My 2004 Jeep Liberty has 213K miles and other than replacing normal wear items has been extremely reliable. On routine start the engine started missing as if only 2-3 cylinders were firing and the check engine light started flashing. Running too poorly to drive so I called a wrecker for towing...
My 2004 Jeep Liberty has 208,000 miles and runs near perfect. Transmission shifts with no problems. I bought it with 50,000 miles on the odometer and have minor repair issues. But the high mileage makes me wonder if I should be looking for a rebuilt/replacement engine just in case. Any...
Bought a new set of tires and wheels off a 2015 Jeep Wrangler to put on my 2004 Jeep Liberty. Found the lug spacing isn't the same so what can I do to use the Wrangler wheels. Rims are 16" on both vehicles so I can have the tires installed on my Liberty wheels but the wheels from the Wrangler...
Thanks to the folks who responded. No, there is no trailer hitch on vehicle. I cleaned the contact area and added dielectric grease where the bulbs make contact but that didn't make a difference. Taking it to a "real mechanic" in a couple days and I'll post what the problem/solution was...
Couple days a police officer pulled up beside me and told me my brake lights were not working and to have them checked. The center upper light works ok. Checked tail light bulbs and they are all ok. Checked fuses and they are ok. Help!!!!!!
