It's normal for these LED lights to have a dim glow while the vehicle is running. I have been using them on the Autobahn for the past 18 months or so with speeds in excess of 105mph with no problem so I'm quite sure they'll be ok for use on a KJ in the US.
$8.52 here (converted from euros and liters). I drove over to the Army base in Grafenwöhr on Monday and it was like a free for all. Practically giving it away at $3.60 a gallon. To bad I'm not allowed to get gas there. It's about $160 to fill my tank... ha ha ha.
It's true that the LEDs will continue to stay lit but the light is very dim and I've gotten used to it now. I changed all the interior lighting as well as my license plate light.. now everything is brighter. The old lights remind me of candlelight.. ha ha ha.
Anyone know of a way to increase the range of the keyless remote? Depending on my surroundings I have to be within 20 feet or so to unlock it. The batteries are new.. it's not a serious issue but I just wanted to be able to unlock it farther away.
Speaker Repair
I ordered a kit from the US.. it was cheaper than buying new speakers. I'll try to explain the steps.
Step 1: Remove the door panel by removing 2 screws. One is located behind the door handle and the other is behind the door grip. Pop off the clips around the door carefully...
When my fuel light come on I have more than 12 liters left. I always try to keep it at least half full but I wanted to see how much gas I had left when the light comes on so that I would know in case something happened.
