Has anyone measured the front doors to see how deep of a speaker will fit in the stock location?

I really appreciate your honesty, but towing capacity doesn't matter to me, as I'm coming out of a regualr cab Colorado and never tow anything. I'm most interested in a reliable daily driver... Something with a backseat that I can drive for a long time without sinking a bunch of money into...

Thanks for the input, guys. So, the 03 has a different ****** than the 04-07? Is this the reason for the 1.5mpg increase? Higher gear ratio? Or is it something else? I'm really trying to hold out for one with a manual ******, anyhow... Does this change things and open me up to all years...
