yeah, i am hoping it is just tire noise for myself. does not seem to have any mechanical issues though so that is a plus and leads me to believe that the tires are the problem.

that is a bummer... i will have to see what i can do because the trans oil and filter were just changed the other day. never did it before and don't have the resources anymore so i had to outsource to get it completed. time for some careful rust work i guess!

You mean Port Aft door, don't you sailer? Is the mechanism clean? Does it have any function when you use either the inboard or outboard handle? I am just throwing ideas out there. No jams, etc?

Fram Filter I have been using FRAM filters for a while... just get the Extra Guard ones (I think that's what they are called...) I have also used NAPPA's "Gold" filter as well. I have not really noticed any difference. Synthetic will be cleaner in general regardless of which filter you use...
