so I had a CEL and glow plug #2 was causing it. ok, it's 20 years old- turns out the previous owner upgraded to steel 5v thank goodness BUT the intake elbow is blocking the #3. I removed the alternator, ok. I unbolted and moved over the fuel filter prime pump thingy, ok. I broke the plastic injector T fittings on the fuel return (laying on top of the engine to reach #4) and replaced with metals ones which was an additional week of vehicle down time... ok it's old...
But how, HOW?, does one remove the 2 of the 4 bolts on the intake elbow that are blocking the 3rd glow plug? with 5 feet of flexible and magnetic socket extensions from underneath?
Does anyone have a video or pictures explaining how this is done by a human on the 2.8 crd while it's still in the vehicle?
