Right! The edges of the snow on the bumper was curled up like a mustache earlier haha was kind of upset when it fell off because it would've made for an awesome picture if I could've drawn in the rest of the face :D

Also the part of my yard I'm driving into is at the top of the incline towards the road and usually stays the most shallow.. was mostly driving into random parts of my yard to see how easily these tires get stuck/unstuck lol

Went for a drive earlier looking for a place to hunt and my normal route is inaccessible right now lol.. took some pictures of the road on the drive. Pulled over to measure the snow on the road, and where I was it was at 5 1/4"... on the dead center of the road... all of which was up and downhill...
The things I get a 2wd liberty to go through has kinda astounded me as of late lol

I used to until I forgot they were still on last year and got on a biway with them and got going over 60... first thought was... how can you forget theyre on lol your jeep is bouncing.. Long story short, theyre gone and all I was left with was a hole in my rear bumper lol.

I do need to invest in some new ones though.. and I really like the look of those, my others were much bulkier..

thule has a v-bar that are pretty beastly and once you fit them the first time they're pretty quick to put on and theyve got a tensioner system that prevents them from coming off

That tensioner system would've come in handy if I got them the first time! Lol
But I'll definitely give them a look! First winter I'm not gunna bother putting sand in the back.. so I'll see how long that lasts haha

Be really nice if I was able to drive normal speeds with chains on, but then again I'd probably never take them off if I could :D

^ wow & is not even the middle of December!
I think having a snowmobile would be beneficial.
Is it legal in those conditions, in rural areas, to use a snowmobile on road there?
On a TV show I saw the first drive on track system for Jeeps they are $ though $9K?

Lol you should see it now.. been blizzarding since I woke up, but just went for a successful 3 hour drive (biggthumpup)
Getting reeeaaalllyyy sick of my plow guy not coming until afternoon and having to shovel myself out :favorites68:
Then he doesn't plow, because it's "already been done".. wowza.
Not on roads it isn't legal sadly. But you typically will see people doing it everywhere anyways.. cop goes to stop you for it, it's not like he can catch you lol. Unless he wants to bomb a cop car through a 3 foot deep field of snow. (Not that I condone evading policemen, as it's illegal and irresponsible). And fun. :D
There are hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails throughout my county, the whole way into Erie.
When I had mine (traded it for a banshee.. which I crashed :signs75:).. but when I had it, I could make it from my house to Erie in a half hour without ever crossing a road.
I can't think of the name of the jeep, but saw that truck jeep thing that runs on tracks a few years back. Thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen lol

Hot Winter Tip!!!

Something I've learned over the years. Cleaning snow off of all my junkers and projects just makes it snow more.

Also! Turning the little blue dashboard light on makes oncoming traffic appear.
