I can't WAIT for the white stuff!!

And for the first time in 30+ years of marriage my wife is looking forward to driving in the snow thanks to her new Renegade.

I've created a monster :happy175: :mwah1:

Prof, how long did it take to dig out of that?

Bob
Several hours. I was determined to get out and ride around before the roads got too cleared. A plow had made one pass about 2/3 of the way through the storm so there was only about 5-6" on the street. I remember muttering to myself all afternoon that a smart person might have parked at the street end of the driveway instead of the very top.

This is what I came out to, as you can see it was still coming down:

Well hot damn I bet you won't be missing that this year! Or cold damn rather :mrt:

Actually, it was a once-in-a-lifetime storm for Northern VA. I am back in the Cleveland area now and we tend to get plenty more up here, though not always all at once.

Speaking of which, tomorrow we are forecast for a high of 72F. Then the bottom drops out and they are calling for snow Saturday night into Sunday. I think there have already been a dozen times this fall when I've told myself "this might be the last nice day until next spring". Tomorrow, that might actually end up being correct.

Winter's here, sorta. 9° last night with a fresh inch of snow this morning. Up into the high twenties during the warmest part of our short daylight which just got shorter due to daylight-stupidings-time.

We haven't seen deep snow like profdlps' around here in years.

We'll get 1 or 2 close to that each year thanks to Lake Erie.. then we have Chautauqua above us.. usually up towards Buffalo gets it pretty rough, but Erie is usually not too much fun either.
If it wasn't for being too dang close to that I'm sure we wouldn't get much.. spent most of last year in Williamsport and lock haven PA last year and barely got dustings of snow.. only 3 hours away.. I am going to miss the morning drive on 220 and laughing at how many people manage to wreck in an inch of snow as the Jeep zips on by(empty cars stuck in medians and roadsides, if somebody was in need of help i would obviously stop :patriot:) .
But I'm home back now and expecting it to be fun.

Prof, Cleveland is only about 2 hours from me.. 2 hours and 23 minutes according to google, but made it or a Phillies game out there in about an hour and a half
Saw your moving progress in your build thread (yes I trolled the snot outta it, at 4 million pages, awhile back.. then decided to post in it recently.
Bet it's glad to be back to the real country up here! ;) just kidding, I have nothing against virginia, just love my Pennsylvania.. and judging by the parts of Ohio I've been to get a pretty Pennsylvanian feel to me. So can't be all bad, so here's to Ohio!
That being said, I love going to Virginia to visit family and adventure sometimes, but nothing like home :friday:

And all that being said, my phone just got a snow/ice alert for Chautauqua county tomorrow... but it's not supposed to snow here until Saturday :Insane: I was a little late, guessed it would by October 26th..

This actually surprised me to read.. I saw you were from Alaska awhile back and was expecting you to hop on here and throw up the motherload of crappy snow storms

That looks like fun! Sounds like someone was out running a snowblower or something - shoot, that's the perfect time to find a great movie, a hot cup of coffee and relax knowing the KJ is just itching to get out and play
