I'm having issues troubleshooting this a/c issue.

two weeks ago i noticed that my a/c would warm up every time i'd stop or go at low speeds, i just thought it needed to be recharged. got a recharge kit, i hooked up the charging hose to the low pressure port, i looked at the gauge and the pressure was over 70 PSI!! but i know the system is not overcharged because i was working fine all summer and i haven't charged it in over 2 years. i also didn't hear the Clutch cycling on and off. i swapped relays around and still have the same issue.

so thats where I'm at. any help and tips would be much appreciated. thanks for your time.

Mine started getting weak when idling...then let go altogether. Discovered a pinhole leak in one of the loops of the condenser (in front of the radiator.)

If you don't hear the clutch cycling, that could be because the refrigerant is too low. The compressor has a safety switch and stops cycling when the pressure gets too low.

My suggestion is to get some refrigerant with dye in it, add it to the system, then run it for a while and see if you can find it leaking anywhere. Also, you may notice it leaking by excessive oil around a part of the system, as the compressor oil will also start to leak out.

Awesome, thanks for the help. although i still don't understand why my gauge is reading 70 PSI. but thanks again.

Simular situation with my 02, would blow warn at stop lights. Check radiator rely switch. If out the fan will not blow when idling. About $90 fix.
