Absolutely beautiful place. Looks like you had to hack your way in there from the pics. Must have been a great time.

Catch any fish? How did that oven/grill combo work?

The pics dont do it justice how beautiful it is! The beach was so quiet all you could hear was the sound of the water and the wind :)

Only one hack job needed to get through the trail. A tree fell over the trail so we had to use the old fashioned way of man power to cut tree down since we left the chainsaw in the broken down XJ on the beach.

We took the KJ exploring since the XJ was broken :smokin:

The camp stove/oven combo works awesome! I made fresh bran muffins & cinnamon buns for breakky :)

More Pics

This is our group cabin wall tent, we use it for cooking and to hang out in when the weather is just to nasty to sit around the fire outside.

Really nice pics.

Did you get the XJ fixed? What happened to it?

The rear end is a Ford Exploder 8.8" and the ABS tone ring lost several teeth and a few bolts!
The teeth and bolts in turn perforated the diff cover which sprung a leak and bled all weekend long!

And yes, it's all fixed again and ready to roll for the next camping trip.

Amazing Pics guys ... Have you ever gone a little further (north of Hope) to Nahatlatch? Went there maybe 20 years ago ... pristine!
Half the fun was just getting there .. in an overloaded 4 cyl Voyager .. I swear the driveline was just going to snap and send us screaming backwards down the logging road .. lol

The names of some of the towns out there way are fun in themselves ... Hell's Gate, Boston Bar, Squeah and my all time favorite Spuzzum

Hey Luke,

Thanks! There are more pics... I'll post some more tonight.

And yes, I have been to Nahatlatch*, but that too was back in the 1980's.
That's one of the road trips we plan on doing come summer time as there
still is too much snow up high.
Also going up to Big Bar via the Harrison East road and then up deep into the mountains.
But that will have to wait until mid to late summer as it will be higher elevations and lots of snow up there.

Cheers
Ry'

We should get together and go out wheelin'.
Pick a date when you are free and let's set something up for a day trip
somewhere local.
It doesn't have to be crazy or extreme...

Cheers
Ry'

Sounds like a plan - I'll pm you sometime. I'm in the interior so we could meet halfway somewhere.

Come Friday when I have my new shoes on I'll be in much better shape :smoke2:
