Looks good and glad your likin it. My wife and I fight over her libby too... she yells at me if I move the rear view mirror on the few times I drive it... which I try not to do. I need some meat under me, too small for my liking, my firebird is even bigger than her libby.

i havent seen a kj with a renegade roof rack and no light bar. i like it

i'm debating the light bar.... i like the look, but it's a bit pricey... the idea of drilling holes in the roof makes me a bit uneasy... plus it creates anothe point where it can start to rust... and rust is my biggest complaint with this car... i have surface rust under the 3rd brake light, and on the inside bottom of three of the doors. i'm bringing it in to my body guys to get it all repaired, but am surprised that a 5 year old car is showing any signs of rust.

Those are the common spots on the KJ from what i have seen on here. As for 6 years and rust... Well where do you live, or where did the KJ come from? Here in the upper midwest we like to say we live in the Rust Belt.. Road salt and gravel chips, doesn't take long to develop rust.

The KJ i have now is actually the first rust free vehicle i have ever owned. The S10 pickup i used to have was a bucket when i got rid of it, cab corners and wheel wells gone... That truck was only 10 years old.

Sounds like where I grew up...anything 5 years old or older is rusting out. People wonder why we don't have much money in the maritimes....cars are falling apart in 5 years.
And the ocean salty air doesn't help matters either.

i just picked it up... but is a local (new england) vehicle and appears to have been well cared for... no dings, only a couple scratches, the interior is immaculate. i've owned 3 jeeps over the years a CJ7 (i think rust was the only thing holding it together) and two TJs... no rust at all.

Oh yeah, Ocean Air ***** when it comes to anything metal. The dealers up here will ship in used vehicles from down south and you can tell by the signs of corrosion on aluminum parts that they were exposed to that salty air.
